Shadowrun: The Review(360 edition)

Shadowrun. Upon the utterance of this title many older gamers will think of a classic action RPG. Others may think of a classic pen and paper RPG. An RPG, is what this game is not. It is a first-person shooter. You may be asking, "how does an RPG become an FPS?" The answer, quite simply, is money.
The FPS aspect of this game is pretty straight forward, you have a variety of weapons available; your basic pistol, a sub-machine gun, a rifle, a shotgun, a sniper rifle, and a missile launcher.… Continue

ATTN: Minnesotans and nearby areas.

I don't know how many people on here live in Minnesota or western Wisconsin, but, for those of you that do, Comp USA is closing all of their Minnesota stores(perhaps other Midwestern areas as well, but, I'm not positive on that.) Nearly everything is 40 - 60% off, including video games. Video games were 40% off at the Woodbury store today, I assume that is the lowest they will go, but, they had a very large selection of everything except Nintendo DS, Nintendo Wii, and Nintendo Gamecube games. I… Continue

A PSA about daylight savings time.

As many of us on here know the dates for daylight savings time have changed here in the USA, our government has decided that we will save more money by adding an extra month to DST. Many countries outside of the USA didn't follow suit. It is important to note that for the two weeks between DST in the USA switching over and the rest of the world that those people listening to AGR outside of the US will have to adjust for an hour earlier show. Be prepared, don't show up an hour late, and learn tha… Continue

A possible reason for failure.

It may be possible that Arena Interactive Lounge failed for a reason as of yet unexplored, the name itself. It appears trendy, simple, harmless at first glance, but if you simply put it in acronym form, it turns into AIL. Which can be defined very simply as ill/sick. Doomed to begin with? Perhaps. But, there is one other part to this equation. At the beginning of every edition of AGI there is a part of a statement that resonates deeply, quite simply it states, "From Arena Interactive Lounge!" Pu… Continue

Yo, thanks for the FR, was it because I took your side in the 360 failure rate debate? Anywho, commone sense rules supreme, but some people find that hard...Besides, I posted the the exact same story a day earlier in response to another blog post here, and sent it to Jessica as a new item (haven't listened to yesterdays show yet, so not sure she used it), so I would assume we are all on the same side as 360 owners right? Anyway, my GT is KwyjiboNL77, if you fancy some 360 gaming...

THanks for the props and encouragement Scott. It's very appreciated. One of the perks about being a teacher is all the vacation time off to play games! The perfect career for a guy like me! :) Spring break+GHII 360 release=gaming nirvana!
