24-7 Internet Radio For Gamers

So recently GameTrailers posted a comparison video of the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of GRID. The video was soon pulled because of mistakes in the video. Unfortunately someone captured the video before it was pulled and edited into their own version of what happened.

GameTrailers LIES AGAIN!

Of course every Sony fanboi worth his/hers salt is screaming that GameTrailers is lying and biased.

Sad...very very sad.

I work as a video editor for a TV station in Seattle. I look at that video and think, somebody screwed up. I see it from new and experienced editors. It happens all the time. People make mistakes. I don't think the editors at GameTrailers are exempt from making mistakes.

Fanbois on the other hand see nothing but a perceived conspiracy. The seem to forget that even the video game companies themselves make mistakes, but the fanbois blow that off. No to them this is irrefutable proof that GameTrailers are biased.

I'm so tired of fanbois of all stripes, Sony, Nintendo, Microsoft, Apple, whatever. They are the greatest detriment to whatever company they evangelize.

What happened to just having fun playing video games?

One part of the problem is the fact that sites like gametrailers are pandering to the fanbois by even doing these side by side comparisons in the first place. This is becoming a large part multi-platform reviews now as well.

On one hand it is pandering, but on the other those people that have multiple systems (myself included) want the most bang for their buck. If it looks better and plays better on one system over the other I'm going to buy the better one. So these comparison video help me be a more informed consumer.

I agree with you to a point. Certain glaring deficiencies between the versions should be pointed out in order to help the multi-platform owners. Usually the things that sway you to one system or the other are the online play, extra unlockables, DLC, etc. I can't really see these side by side comparison videos being the decider. They aren't for me at least, but to each his own.

And by the way, that youtube video is hilarious, the guy that made it really loves melodramatics.
